    On 23 March 2017 the High-Level debate entitled "Climate Change and the Sustainable Development Agenda" took place in the United Nations Headquarters.

    The debate was organized by the President of the General Assembly in collaboration with the Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The main objective of the debate was to assess the status of climate science and  the ratification and implementation of the Paris Agreement as well as climate actions by all stakeholders. The emphasis was put how to invigorate political momentum on climate change, highlight its deep linkage to the Development Agenda, including  the cross-cutting issues regarding land-use, energy and the ocean.


    During plenary debate the high level representatives of UN Member States delivered statements. On behalf of Poland statement was delivered by the Permanent Representative – Bogusław Winid.
